About Backpacks Of Love
Our Mission: Backpacks of Love is a Tucson-based initiative dedicated to providing children fleeing domestic violence with emotional comfort, safety, and educational empowerment. We supply every child entering emergency shelters with a "hug you can carry"—a dedicated backpack filled with essential comfort items and complete, age-appropriate school supplies to ensure their transition into crisis care maintains their security, dignity, and learning opportunities. Our Vision: To break generational cycles of abuse through transparency, community advocacy, and trauma-informed support. We ensure that no child’s education or sense of self-worth is interrupted by domestic violence, offering immediate security during times of severe family disruption.
